Aloha Friday #3

It is Aloha Friday once again! This means today is a day for taking it easy, therefore I will just ask one simple question. Click the picture to learn more.

Today's Question:

When seasons change, what do you do with the clothing your not using?

My answer:

I live in Southern California, so really we don't have seasons. In the middle of winter you may have an above normal warm day and wear a tank top. In the middle of summer I may need jeans and a sweater. I really do love Cali weather, but I would love to see the leaves change, or the grass that is trying so hard to push through the snow.

The weather in England is so changeable, I just keep everything in the same closet

I'm originally from California, though I'm living in Texas now. We did have seasons in the mountians (where I lived from age 10 - 18)...though not so much where I lived before that.

Here where I live now in Texas we sort of have seasons...kind of. There's definitely a HOT season, which starts in late May and doesn't end until late October (sometimes later). Fall/Winter are less distinct. We do have fall color, and then it does eventually get cold, windy and rainy (with occasional rare snow...like, you might not get that every year, and it rarely stays more than an hour). But, even in the mid of the coldest months, we can have days where it goes back up into the 80s. On one week in fall we had highs in the 90s one day, followed by highs in the 40s the next. So, you can put away your winter clothes during the summer, but you can't ever put all the summer clothes away. (Oh yeah, and even in mid summer you still need a sweater or sweatshirt for INSIDE where people turn the air conditioning up to near freezing!)

So, what I do in winter is take out my winter clothes (except for a couple items for crazy air conditioned businesses), and put away SOME of the warmer weather clothes, but not all.

I might steal this question for my blog in the Fall!

Hey there, cute blog you have! I like it.

I usually clean out everyone's drawer's/closet twice a year in late Fall and mid-Spring. Our seasons do change but Fall and Spring are generally mild.

We do need more storage space though! That would make life a lot easier.

Have a great weekend :)

This is great! My question was about seasons, too!! I'm in Jersey, so we have all 4 seasons. I have a thrift store around so around february they accept Spring/Summer clothes and around august Fall/winter. You take them there, they decide which one are good and which not. With the good one they give you a in-store credit, so you can change it for whatever and whenever you need it. With the not so good, you can either donate it to them for a quater sale they have at the end of the month or take it back. Pretty good!!!

Thanks for stopping by. I usually put our winter clothes in this big box I have in the basement, and switch in the summer time. Especially shoes. I'm your latest follower.

LOL, I live in Buffalo. We have all 3 seasons, but just like you in the middle of summer we may need to wear jeans and a sweater. I typically keep everything accessible.

I don't have much clothes to begin with so I just keep them all hanging in my closet. Happy Aloha Friday!

p.s. I hope you get that gift of
being financially stable so you can add to your family.

I also live in Cali but I do put a few winter coats into a plastic bin so they're out of the way.

They just stay in the closets or drawers year round. I don't really switch anything out.

I don't have that much clothes, so I just hang the other seasons' clothes towards the back of my closet. Happy Aloha Friday and 4th of July weekend!
